Looking back on Restricted Mic - Online and on RTE 2XM at 7pm 20th December 2021. In June 2020, Garageland and the City of Dublin Youth Service Board, supported by RTE, broadcasted the first episode of what would become an immensely important and influential project for young musicians in Covid Lockdown in Dublin and beyond. The 'Restricted Mic' series has now delivered... over 10 episodes of music from young artists engaged over 1,500 young people and their friends and families engaged with over 20 youth clubs and projects. We have inspired the creation of over 100 music videos the writing of over 50 original songs. This show is a look back across the project, with input from some of the young people involved, and some of the youth workers and producers. Well done to everyone involved in this amazing project!
